FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Salt Lake City, UT (Thursday, February 7, 2013)

Whether you???re familiar with the terms ???DownDog??? and ???Namaste??? or not, a new rebranding of the yoga space at (2065 East and 2100 South in Salt Lake) is making it easier for everyone to relax, move and breathe ??? even with the inversion.

???We Are Yoga??? Studio Owner and Director Jami Larson explained that: ???The real message, and the changes that we???re making at We Are Yoga, is to help everyone see that in our busy modern and complex lives, yoga works. We don???t need to go to a Himalayan cave to reach inner peace. Yoga is an ancient tradition for our modern day lives ??? and its gifts are accessible to everyone.???

Larson, who took over the studio (formerly called ???Shiva Centre???) in July of 2012, felt that the name wasn???t a fair representation of what she was experiencing within the community; and set a strategic course to adapt the studio to what she felt was more suited to the needs of the public:

???Salt Lake is a unique culture: spiritual seekers and sunday school teachers, workaholics, moms and dads headed to school, jobs and playdates,??? said Larson. ???It???s full of people with elevated ideas leading busy lives who yearn for peace and a quieting of the mind. So many of us think we???Il relax or find time to get centered later, but the gifts of yoga ??? are available and accessible to everyone, now. Whether that???s a great work out, or gaining flexibility of the mind or body; or inner peace, I knew that ???We Are Yoga??? was a place to cultivate it.???

???We Are Yoga??? is open seven days a week with more than 50 classes ranging from Kids Yoga and Ashtanga, to Yoga for Athletes and Kalari (martial arts yoga). Larson says the mission of ???We Are Yoga??? ???is to offer the light of yoga through soul inspiring classes, warmth of community and the highest level of teaching quality to the modern day yogi.??? She also notes that ???beginners are especially welcome.???

Larson sees the new branding and changes in the studio as having a broader impact for good in the area and beyond: ???Salt Lake has a vibrant yoga community, and we???re thrilled to be a part of it,??? she says. ???But we want to go beyond that. We offer yoga in an approachable, exciting, joyful way. But we are cultivating something much larger than a place to practice yoga, we want to be a force for good and light in the community.???

???We Are Yoga??? believes that yoga is for everyone; and it???s gifts of joy, balance and well-being are accessible even in today???s modern and complex world. ???We Are Yoga??? is located at 2065 East 2100 South with more than 50 classes open seven days a week. Class schedules, pricing information and more about the ???We Are Yoga??? culture and studio offerings are available at www.weareyogaslc.com. Come breathe, be and sweat with us.
