Growing up in Monterey, CA then moving to Salt Lake taught me many things, most importantly, unwavering gratitude. There is so much to take in, so much to feel, so much to see as a part of the human experience. My classes allow for you to be completely human. Moving with breath, opening your heart, and being in a space of pure love and kindness. My goal for you when you come to class isn’t how long you can balance, but instead, can you challenge yourself to leave worry, judgement, and stress at the door with your shoes.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Connection. Regaining connection. I think yoga does that for our humanity; it reconnects us with the humanity in ourselves and therefore the humanity within each other. I’d like to regain connection back to our environment and the many beautiful species we share this home with. Come back to connection and we come back to ourselves and our mother earth.
What is your favorite holiday and why?
Any of my students would know I can’t just pick one. Shark Week is a week long holiday in my house!
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
When I am in a bad mood, the quickest way to my heart is a betos/mesquite pico de gallo breakfast burrito. (If you don’t know what that is, you are missing out!)
When you aren’t working, what do you like to do?
Cooking–Netflix–snuggling with my man and two dogs.
What is your favorite movie?
What About Bob. It’s a Keller family classic.
