Chase is currently on maternity leave.
CHASE JACKSON was originally drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, but she soon discovered that the benefits of yoga had a positive effect on every aspect of her life. After many years of practicing, Chase got her 500 hour yoga teaching certification in 2007 and has been teaching ever since. She got an additional 200 hour yoga certification in 2013 and has attended many workshops and trainings from local and internationally renowned yoga teachers over the years. She teaches hatha vinyasa and it is her belief that everyone can do yoga and receive great benefit from the practice. She works as a physical therapist assistant at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center and enjoys time spent outside with her husband and her two dogs.
What is your favorite holiday and why?
Anything with a nice beach and a lot to do. I loved Tulum Mexico. There was a white sand beach and clear turquoise water but also lots of fun things to do and places to explore. I went snorkeling with giant sea turtles, hiked to the top of Mayan ruins, and found beautiful Cenote’s to swim in.
How has your life changed since becoming a practitioner of yoga?
Yoga has made me a better person without a doubt. I am happier, more aware of my reactions and thoughts, and kinder since finding yoga.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I have traveled to all the continents except Antarctica and have lived in two other countries besides the US.
When you aren’t working, what do you like to do?
I like to be outside hiking or snowshoeing and enjoying the beautiful outdoors we have here in Utah. I like to try new vegetarian recipes, I read a lot, and love to travel. Overall what makes me happy is spending time with my husband Vik, my animals, and my new baby Surya.
