Jnanamannam
Knowledge of his own nature is his food. ~ Shiva Sutras 2.9

“Yoga, meditation, mindfulness – why the west’s biggest companies are embracing the east.” ~ Financial Times

While we may have a basic understanding of yogic philosophy, tradition and practices, it can be challenging to connect the dots. This is a unique opportunity to bridge eastern and western philosophy and science. Studies include asana, anatomy, sutras, kleishas and the eight limbs of yoga, as well as the nervous system and the neuroscience and psychology of yoga.

Learning Objectives:

In this module you will deepen your understanding of yogic philosophy, history, and subtle body anatomy. You will bring yogic teachings alive in a real way that will shine in your personal practice and your teaching. You will study the effects of mindfulness practices on the mind and the brain and develop the skills to tie both the eastern and western perspective into your teaching.

Final Project:

Each student will apply the material covered in this module to create an in-depth workshop incorporating yogic philosophy.
