Join Tara Judelle & the We Are Yoga community for a weekend of asana, lecture, meditation & satsang April 21-23.

Tara’s classes focus on the discovery of embodied anatomy, bringing to the yogic tradition a scientific yet playful study of the movement vocabulary of the body and the ever-expanding perceptual awareness of the human mind. In 2014 Tara co-created the School of Embodied Flow™ to bring her current passions together into a modern movement of Yoga.

For over 27 years Tara has experimented with all forms of movement flow, from dance to Tai Chi, to movement improvisation and ultimately yoga. An English degree from Barnard College, post-graduate studies in theatre directing and a foray into film writing and directing brought her finally to the study of yoga and meditation. Certified in the Anusara™ method, Tara has taught yoga extensively, both nationally and internationally, for 15 years. She has been inspired by the Body Mind Centering® works of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and has studied and taught with Carlos Pomeda and Sally Kempton.

For the last 7 years she has been a featured teacher as part of the yogaglo.com team, allowing the yoga conversation to stream around the globe.

In 2010 Tara moved from her home base in Los Angeles to direct a yoga program and retreat center in Bali, Indonesia. Since the close of 2011, she has had no fixed base, leading to her current schedule facilitating workshops, retreats and teacher trainings worldwide.

Embodied Flow™ Lab

Pulsation, Vibration, Tone and Sensation start in our embryological patterns. In this laboratory we will explore cellular breathing, navel radiation among other embryological and developmental patterns that encode the essence of our own body language. Through both lecture, movement, meditation and free movement we will explore these vital signatures of ourselves in order to find them as a source of feeling and support.

Embodied Flow™ is a continuum of movement and expression that draws from the discoveries of various hatha, tantric and somatic movement systems in order to experience yoga as a living art form. Embodied Flow™ provides the technology for a deep sense of ease, strength and connectivity in the human form. This in turn, empowers the practitioner to be their own greatest teacher as they expand, integrate and facilitate awareness in their entire body-mind. Embodied Flow™ was created by Tara Judelle and Scott Lyons.

Pre-requisite: students must have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training. This session counts as 4 hours of continuing education for Yoga Alliance.

Embodied Flow™ All Levels Asana Practice

In this all levels practice we will explore moving from the power of our own navel center – using a strong practice of standing poses and arm balances in flow as we play with supporting our limbs from the radial symmetry of our own magnetic core.

Eastern Principles & Philosophy: Asana & Lecture

Saturday, April 22, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Samadhi is considered to be a merging with the great essential being-ness of own truth and the entire aim of the Yoga Sutras. In this morning exploration we will use pranayama, mantra, meditation and asana to look at the Raja yoga of Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. This practice will be a long deep dive using the tools of practice as doorways into the ocean of Self.

Sunday, April 23, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Vertical core – looking at the upper and lower anchors of the Sushumna Nadi (the central channel), this class will play with the Madhya (the gap or middle), of our body mind, to discover the essential filament that intersects our moving center, our heart center and our receiver/perceiver the brain. Asana will include a full spectrum class but focusing on moving from a point of support and ease.

Satsang & Embodied Flow™ All Levels Asana Practice

sat·sang
/ˈsatsaNG/
noun
a spiritual discourse or sacred gathering.

Saturday, April 22, 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Focusing on the organs, this embodied flow class will weave topics that come out of our satsang together into flows that initiate from the fluid contents of our innermost being. Asana will include flows that move from the inside out.

Testimonial

I had practiced yoga a lot and for many years. But realized I did not know my own body until I practiced with Tara. Her teaching intelligently leads into a true feeling of your body. I learned options of movement and experienced a depth of practice that I did not know was possible. Nobody is doing what she is doing, and she will change the way you practice yoga, sense yourself, relate to others, move your body, feel your mind and meet your world. After many years of study, I finally did my 200-hr and 300-hr yoga teacher trainings with Tara, as her teaching is truly inspiring and awakening. Don’t miss an opportunity to practice and study with her – this is a life changing experience.
